Rapotan Hasibuan, Suri Ermawati

Abstract

In the community whose distance is the closest to the Primary Health Care (PHC), there is still less participation in the National Health Insurance (JKN), and not many people, if they go to the PHC, were lazy to bring their JKN card to the PHC. It is known that the description of the not yet maximal use of the JKN card at the Puskesmas is related to the interest of JKN users themselves. This study, therefore, aims to determine the factors that influence the community in utilizing the JKN card at the Pagurawan PHC, which was held from December to January 2021 with 90 samples taken using an accidental sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire, research analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the variable that influenced the use of the JKN card was knowledge (p=0.020), distance traveled (p=0.030), household expenditure (p=0.007). However, some variables had no significance namely education (p=0.487), job (p=0.487), attitude variable of health workers (p=0.089), and complaints of illness (p=0.035). The results of the analysis show recommending that health workers conduct more education or outreach to people who have a JKN card to make more use of the JKN card to the PHC.
